Bridging Connections at Bennington College

My passion for all things human connection began long before BRIDGE™ existed—back when I was a student at Bennington College. Between moments of deep reflection and periods of loneliness, I found myself drawn to the ways people connect. I even started filming short street interviews, asking strangers a simple but powerful question: What are you grateful for?

Those early experiences planted the seed for everything I do now. I realized how much we all share as human beings—our emotions, our stories, and our need to be seen and understood.

Fast forward ten years later, I returned to Bennington for the All-Class Alumni Reunion weekend—this time, with BRIDGE™ as a tool for fostering connection across generations.

Throughout the weekend, I invited current students and alumni to connect through conversation using the Transitions card game. The exchanges that unfolded were inspiring and deeply human. There were overlapping experiences shared among alumni—and even between alumni and students—about adapting, riding the waves of life, and having the audacity to forge your own path.

Beyond the interviews, I had the opportunity to participate in a Speed Networking session where alumni and current students connected one-on-one, sharing advice, lessons learned, and reflections from their journeys. I was also invited to speak on the “Life After Bennington” panel, where we discussed how the values of creativity, curiosity, and self-direction continue to shape our work and lives long after graduation.

While no single post can capture the magic that was felt that weekend, one thing stood out: no matter our age, background, or path in life, we all share the same desire—to feel seen and accepted as our authentic selves.

I’m endlessly grateful to be part of the Bennington community and for the school that taught me how to live with curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to experiment.
